Details

The Peg Solitaire Game with Wooden Marbles is a board game for one player. According to the legend, a French nobleman who was imprisoned in the Bastille invented the game of peg solitaire in the 18th Century. Historically, what we know is that the first depiction of the game and a description of the rules date back to 1687 in France. Peg Solitaire is a game traditionally played on a wooden board that has a pattern of holes drilled, each of which contains a wooden peg. This set, in the standard English style, uses wood marbles on a wood game board with 33 indentations. The rules of the game are quite simple. The objective is to clear the entire board except for a solitary peg in the center hole. At the beginning of the game, the marble in the center of the board is removed. You move by jumping a marble over an adjacent marble, much like in checkers, except that the moves must be horizontal or vertical only. The marble jumped over is removed. The aim of the game is to remove all the marbles except the last one, which should be left in the center of the board. WARNING CHOKING HAZARDù Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years. Adult supervision recommended.
